To Rework a Task

From time to time, a completed task may need to be reworked. Reworking a task returns the workflow to a previous step, so that the task can be accepted, rejected, or delegated to someone else. You can mark any task that is in your Work in Progress or Completed Work Exchange folders as requiring rework.

Follow these steps to rework a task:

  1. From the Work Exchange Completed folder, select the task that you want to rework, from the list by checking the box to the left of the task name. For example:
    Tip: You can select multiple tasks by selecting more than one check box from the tasks in the list.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Rework selected.
    The ReworkTask dialog appears.
  3. Select a workflow step from the Send task back to list.
  4. Enter the Reason for rework, in the box provided, and then click Send for rework.
The task is reopened, and reverted to the selected workflow step.
